Skin care
Skin care
Skin care choices follow assessment of the barrier and sensitivity. Peels differ from routine moisturizing in depth, ingredients, recovery and risks, so they are discussed separately.
AT A GLANCE
Before you consider treatment.
- Moisturizing & peels
- Hydrating care and stimulating peels differ in purpose and recovery. Assess current inflammation and dryness first.
- Intensity & timing
- Deeper peels may require more recovery. Product names alone cannot establish when makeup or daily activities can resume.
- Care at home
- Moisturize, protect from sunlight and do not peel skin off forcibly. Review your cosmetic products too.
INDICATION
We begin with these concerns.
- Everyday dryness and roughness
- Consultation on care before and after treatment
AT NUA
Options to explore at NUA.
Equipment used
Products, methods and treatment areas are determined by skin condition and consultation.
OUR APPROACH
What NUA assesses first.
We do not apply the same treatment to every face. We review your condition and expectations, and the doctor decides the final plan.
- 01Skin barrier condition
- 02Current skin care products
- 03Sensitivity and inflammation
- 04Timing relative to other treatments
Videos with explanations from our doctor will be added when ready.
PRINCIPLE
How do we approach it?
Skin care includes cleansing, moisturizing and, where appropriate, exfoliation. Peels require separate assessment based on depth and ingredients.
BEFORE TREATMENT
What to check first.
Tell us about dermatitis, wounds, ingredient allergies and recent treatments.
Repeated harsh care can burden the skin. Peel recovery and risks depend on intensity.
Individual contraindications and suitability are assessed during consultation.
AFTERCARE
From treatment to everyday life.
- Pain
- Irritation and stinging vary by care type. Let us know immediately if you feel discomfort.
- Recovery
- Moisturizing and peels have different recovery needs. Confirm the care provided and follow instructions on washing, makeup and sun protection.
- Effects & duration
- Daily habits and consistent care matter beyond a single session. Plans are adjusted to skin response.
What to watch for day to day
- If irritation develops, do not repeatedly scrub or exfoliate on your own.
- Tell the medical team what care you received and your symptoms if burning, itching or swelling worsens or persists.
Questions before your consultation.
01Can sensitive skin receive care?
We first assess inflammation and barrier condition, then distinguish suitable care from irritation to avoid.
02Should I bring my home skin care products?
Product names or ingredient lists help us discuss your routine and possible irritation.
03Can I remove peeling skin after a peel?
Forcing or scratching it off may disrupt healing. Follow the moisturizing and care instructions provided.
04Is a stronger peel better?
Choosing for skin condition and purpose matters more than intensity. Compare irritation and downtime too.
05Are LDM and peels the same kind of care?
NUA lists them separately. We review the goal and accompanying treatments before discussing sequence or combination.
06Can I apply makeup immediately after a peel?
It depends on peel type and healing. Check individual advice after treatment and ask if irritation remains.
07What health information should I share in advance?
Tell us about dermatitis, wounds, ingredient allergies and recent treatments. Repeated harsh care can burden the skin. Peel recovery and risks depend on intensity.
08How do we discuss pain management?
Irritation and stinging vary by care type. Let us know immediately if you feel discomfort.
