Body care
Body
Non-surgical body care addresses local contour or skin condition; it does not replace obesity treatment or weight loss. NUA checks fat, laxity, health and previous surgery.
AT A GLANCE
Before you consider treatment.
- Weight & contour
- Scale weight and the shape of one area are different measures. Define the intended local change first.
- Device-specific indications
- Energy methods and areas differ by device. Settings for the face are not simply carried over to other areas.
- Maintenance & limits
- Desired changes may not occur or may be temporary. Discuss results, maintenance and whether further treatment is needed.
INDICATION
We begin with these concerns.
- Localized body contour concerns
- Distinguishing fat from skin laxity

Equipment used
Products, methods and treatment areas are determined by skin condition and consultation.
OUR APPROACH
What NUA assesses first.
We do not apply the same treatment to every face. We review your condition and expectations, and the doctor decides the final plan.
- 01Area of concern and cause
- 02Skin and subcutaneous fat condition
- 03Health and implants
- 04Expected changes
Videos with explanations from our doctor will be added when ready.
PRINCIPLE
How do we approach it?
Non-surgical body contouring uses methods such as cooling, heat or ultrasound depending on the device. Local contour treatment is not the same as weight loss.
BEFORE TREATMENT
What to check first.
We check pregnancy, previous surgery, hernias, skin condition and implanted devices. Restrictions vary by equipment.
Pain, swelling, bruising or nodules can occur. Device-specific additional risks should also be explained.
Individual contraindications and suitability are assessed during consultation.
AFTERCARE
From treatment to everyday life.
- Pain
- Heat, cold or pressure varies by device, and tenderness may develop afterward.
- Recovery
- Redness, swelling and bruising can occur, so schedule according to treatment area and method.
- Effects & duration
- Assessment timing depends on treatment type and results vary. We also discuss ongoing care and lifestyle.
What to watch for day to day
- Report surgery, implants or hernias in the area and your current health.
- Watch pain, swelling, bruising and skin changes. Tell the medical team if they worsen or last a long time.
Questions before your consultation.
01Can this replace weight loss?
Local contour treatment does not replace obesity treatment or weight loss. First clarify your goal.
02Can several areas be treated at once?
We decide scope and sequence after checking device indications, health and recovery burden.
03Will body treatment reduce my weight too?
Non-surgical contour care differs from weight-loss treatment. Weight and metabolic health concerns need separate assessment.
04Can fat and skin laxity be discussed together?
Yes. The balance of fat and elasticity differs even in the same area, so we distinguish them in planning.
05Can an operated area receive treatment?
First review surgery type and timing, implants and current condition. Discuss the device's restrictions.
06Does one session end the need for maintenance?
Results vary and can be temporary. Review goals and response to plan subsequent care.
07What health information should I share in advance?
We check pregnancy, previous surgery, hernias, skin condition and implanted devices. Restrictions vary by equipment. Pain, swelling, bruising or nodules can occur. Device-specific additional risks should also be explained.
08How do we discuss pain management?
Heat, cold or pressure varies by device, and tenderness may develop afterward.
